Hey Guys :)

Are there any videos on how to install linen, leather/exotic and cork wraps? :)

Also, where is the best place to get a good wrapping machine to add onto a cue lathe suite? :)

A buddy of mine has his own lathe and is able to replace tips and ferrules and he does a brilliant job, but he wants to learn how to install various wraps, including cork wraps and he has a ton of old cues that he's got to practice on, but he would like to know how to go about installing various wraps :)

Also he would like to know how to cut the wrap groove in the butt sleeve for players who want a wrap installed onto a previously wrapless cue :)

If there are any videos that can show how what the best way to do this, it would be very much appreciated :)

I really hope that you guys can help and any info is greatly and very much appreciated :)

Thank you everyone in advance :)

Willie

P.S. FWIW, I used to wrap my own cues by hand when I was a kid and yes, it took me a good hour or so to finish a wrap on just 1 cue :) lol, I had said that I could do this, but it would take too long if there were about 10+ players looking to have a cue rewrapped ;) lol

First, I would suggest buying Chris Hightower's book, as it covers all the topics you've inquired about.
If you're not a reader, there are videos out there, too:

Chris (cueman on AZB) Hightower's website (for book and videos) http://www.cuesmith.com/index.php?page=book_video

Jim (billiardbum on AZB) Sickles with Unique Products is very helpful and his website and videos can be found at http://www.uniqueinc.com/instructional_videos

Lee (brianna187) Malakoff with Brianna Products has videos on his site http://www.briannaproducts.com/learn.htm

Good luck,

thanks for the plug......lee

Thank you for posting the link ELBeau, I really appreciate it buddy and some well deserved rep points have been sent your way

There's definitely a great selection of DVD's and equipment on all three of the site, but I'd definitely have to say that Jim's & Lee's websites seem to have the largest selection of parts and equipment available for cuemakers/repairmen

Thank you very much once again, I really appreciate it alot :)
