I heard from a good source that every other year there will be Mosconi cup then Reyes Cup where team will consist players from Asia.Anyone has heard this too?

it would be nice to watch asia beat up europe, instead of europe beating up usa.

That would be a dampener
By and large , team events are popular so they should have both Mosconi and Reyes cups yearly . One in mid year and other year end
Without a Pro tour, there are also just not evough big events (9ft) to whet appetites.

What it should be is, winner of the Mosconi Cup plays Asia. Not just have it be Europe vs Asia.

That would give some extra meaning to the Mosconi Cup win. You get your $$ from Mosconi Cup then more from the Reyes Cup. Will be even better incentive to win.

And they really should make it the Americas vs Europe not just the US, should be South America, US and Canada vs Europe vs Asia.

They should hold these in alternating years, much like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup in golf. In fact, I would model off that completely,-and have Mosconi Cup as is in odd years, then in even years, include the rest of the world. Two events that similar in the same year is too much and doesn't build enough anticipation.

the defending champ plays the WINNER of the contender match on the CHAMPS home turf, however, i still prefer a 4 team tourney

Luke Riches posted on Facebook that they will have BOTH - Mosconi Cup and Reyes Cup next year. He didn't know the dates of the Reyes Cup, most likely cause they have to find a venue. I'm sure that more goes into arranging these events then any of us will ever know, including finding a suitable venue that doesn't want to charge a million bucks to host it.

That would be awesome, but because it's the Reyes Cup, they will need to play one pocket, rotation, and balkline.

Keeps getting better for Team Europe
They win Mosconi Cup get $20K each
Then they play Reyes Cup guaranteed at least $10K
Not bad.
