I'm sure it's a repost, but I'm sure I haven't seen it posted on here in the past 6 months or so. It might have been 9 racks that he runs here, but I honestly lost count. Look at how good he hits every single one of these balls! I've been looking for a while for video of someone running a six pack plus but this is the first one I've ever seen. If anyone has anymore videos of anyone stringing a few racks together I'd sure love to see it. I'd also love to see this video uncut to see how long he had to think about some of the shots he took. Any idea what tournament this was from? I wonder how poor Busty felt sitting in his chair just watching this...

I believe Bustamante did that to Reyes the following year if I'm not mistaken. Bustamante ran a 7 or 8 pack in the WPC to win the match. I think this match is from 2001 and Busta did that to Reyes in 2002.

This is from the WPC 1999, the year when Reyes took the crown. This match is at the semi-final. I think Jay was one of the commentators and he said this was the best run out he has ever seen in his life. It was better than the 11 packs from Earl.

I believe that Jay Helfert has (legal) copies of the 1999 World Professional Pool Championship -The WPPC.

This was unquestionably the Greatest Tournament ever played. Apart from Efrens amazing comebacks against Souquet and Bustamante, he was one ball from not making it out of the group stages against Vincent Facquet. There were dozens of other monster matches. I have most of them in my private collection.

The set and the TV coverage were awe inspiring too.

The WPC that year was held in Spain and Nick Varner won it.

No this was in Cardiff and Reyes won it. Unless you are talking about something else.

This is from the 1999 WPC semi final, one of the greatest matches I've ever seen, and if memory serves right, Reyes ran 9 in a row, but what 9!! The entire match in better video quality is here:

It certainly was in Cardiff at the International Centre. and I know because I was involved in the event. Sometime when I get a moment I can probably dig out all the stats on the tournament and some pictures of the arena, I also have some footage of Jay Helfert and British TV commentator Syd Waddell submerged up to their necks in the hotel jacuzzi discussing the upcoming days matches. But you have to be over 18 to watch that.

Read what it says on the bumpers - WORLD PROFESSIONAL POOL CHAMPIONSHIP - not 9 Ball just the definitive title

Since we're talking about Efren here, did you know that he was born Aug. 26, 1954?
He's celebrating his 57th birthday today. Happy birthday Efren!

Video bonus:

The same year he won the 1999 WPC, he barely squeaked past Jimmy White in a
round of 32(?) hill-hill match. One of the most nerve wracking game I've watched.
