forgive me but is this another hack / scam for these same cues that USMC guy was recently scamming with?

Thanks for your stupid input and trying to ruin my post, get your facts before you make stupid statements on my post. If anyone wants to call me and video call here it is

The cues look the same and the response sounds just like USMC-0311.
Might be legit, but a lot of red flags, especially with the recent events here.

I just talked with Damien and it's possible that it's not a scam. Damien says he bought the cues from the original poster who he said is a really nice guy in Florida who makes cues. He offered to have a video call if anyone is interested. He lives in Florida. Give him a call and judge for yourself.

USMC311 shows cues sold to kidcuban.

The feedback for both USMC311 and kid cuban is identical.

Is that normal?

I do not know and I am not vouching for anything. All I know is I had a conversation with him and he sounded normal. We should get someone from So FLA to go have a look in person.

Do your due diligence. Did Mike Howerton list the usmc guy as a hacker / scammer?

Maybe this is legit, maybe not. I would strongly suggest that anyone interested to purchase any of these cues, if you’re comfortable to go forward, make payment via PayPal goods and fund it with a credit card and if things don’t go well you’ll have some recourse.

i spoke with USMC late last week and he also sounded "normal" in addition to living in Fla

curious if USMC found the missing shafts or is this sale also for only the butts?

PP G & S backed by a CC

His add says butts only. I don't really have a dog in the hunt and I'm not interested in the cues at all. But if someone is, buyer beware, call the guy, get someone in So FLA you may know to go by and look first hand. Good luck

No. Here is the list Mike sent me of the accounts that got hacked:

Cuemaster98
Dfweyer
Jimmy91988
theyonger
unicorncomputer
Howerver, OverCutAnything had a suspicious interaction with USMC on facebook when the cues were listed there. He offered to meet USMC at any of the local pool halls and pay in cash, but USMC declined. He also offered to pay with Paypal G&S and pay the fees, but USMC also declined to do that. Then USMC marked all his facebook ads as sold and listed the cues here. Then USMC marked all his cues as sold here.

kidcuban bought all the cues from USMC and is immediately reselling them?

Ok to try to clear up a few things. These cues are East Indian Rosewood not Cocobolo. I'm the original owner the entire collection of all 7 lettered cues I got from Richard Black. I can't speak for this seller but USMC311 is a legit person and he bought 5 of the letters from me when he lived in PA. He told me there are no shafts to any of the cues just the butts. If a buyer just use the same caution as you would on any sale.

I don't understand making one cue per year. What was the purpose of the set of cues? If they were supposed to be sold as a set wouldn't they have made in one batch? What is collectible about them?
They were not sold as a set. Richard Black made 1 letter each year and 6 cues each year all out of different woods and sold them at the Super Billiards Expo. These cues never made it for sale to the public as the dealers bought them before 11am when the show started each year. A couple of the years of these cues even came with a black Whitten case.

Damien;

I'll assume that your comment was directed my way and I'll respond. As you might be aware there has been an uptick of scamming activity here on azb recently. Mike Howerton reported that these were a result of some trusted members accounts being hacked. Alongside that, there was some question as was pointed out about the USMC account over on FB that to one potential buyer looked suspicious. With all this info then your FS post here for those same cues it seemed quite reasonable to me, and not "stupid" imo, to question whether or not this might be another similar case of hacking / scamming attempt.

It now looks like you did buy these cues from USMC and are looking to immediately resell them. Hope you can see how all of this could have caused a red flag to deploy.

GLWYS

best,
brian kc

Well, here's a trustworthy member giving input. Thanks Bobby..
