I had Rick Howard make me a replacement shaft for one of my cues. He asked if I wanted a white shaft or would I like one of his best wood shaft that might not be as white.
I said that I would like to use his shaft on the cue as my player so I wanted Moori soft tip on the best shaft wood he had and wanted it to come in at close to 4.0 oz as possible.
It weighs exactly 4.0 oz and I have NEVER SEEN so many rings per inch on a freakin shaft. I am guessing close to 20 rings on this shaft. My Schick cue is a close second on rings per inch but this Howard shaft cracks me up.
I played with it the first time tonight. WOW. When you get down on a shot, occasionly as I would look down the shaft sometimes I had to turn the shaft as the rings distracted me a little.
The wood seems a little darker than normal shafts, but freaking plays.
