Right hand/Left eye

Is anybody else right handed and left eye dominate?
Does it cause you aiming problems? How do you cope?
Three great players, when I was a kid, were right handed and left eyed….Willie Mosconi, Joe Davis, and George Chenier.
This doesn’t look awkward to me….

This looks awkward to me…but a great player never the less

Yes - it's a pain in the ass. Combine that with having boobs... errr... getting my left eye over the cue - then my chest starts to interfere. It's a constant struggle to find my stroke.

I'm that way. I guess over the years I've evolved into more of a snooker stance and face the cue ball more squarely.

I'm left-handed and right-eye dominant.

This video from Scott Rohleder helped me more than anything:

I lean over as he recommends to get my right eye on the shot line while keeping my back foot on it as well. Then I freeze my head/eyes on the shot and step forward into my stance.

Before, I would stand completely square to the shot (with my back foot not even close to the shot line), which meant getting my body on the shot line required a big contorting movement that was hard to do consistently and correctly. And if I tried standing with my back foot on the shot line instead, my right eye was really far off the aim line. Leaning over fixed the problem immediately.

Many pros do a combination of leaning over slightly and also standing slightly diagonal to the shot line.

I'm RH/LE but have the cue positioned between Both eyes!

I've Always aimed at my target with Both eyes.

Both Ouschans are right-hand/left-eye. Albin more so, i think. His cue alignment looks really bizarre.

Same here, I am RH/LE, and my cue is positioned right about where Albin's cue is in the picture above.

If you adopt the concept of vision center rather than individual eyes, then that will help you the most.

I put a lot of work into my stroke which I am very happy with now, and had to try tons of different things to get my body aligned, even though my vision center was perfect. I now have more of a snooker stance like this:

It took me forever to figure out how to properly move my hips outward. Before I had a terrible stance which put the butt of the cue into my stomach, like this, which I think all stemmed from being RH/LE. Even though I could stroke perfectly straight, I had no power, and this stance ended up causing tendonitis in my left shoulder from the strain of trying to force my vision center over the cue. Dealing with this issue definitely took years off of my pool career as I struggled to catch up to players who never had to deal with it.

Right handed left eye dominate, although I tried positioning my Ching more center and training to use both eyes, I still am more accurate with left eye dominates, I also have more of a squared off snooker stance and a piston stroke vs. a pendulum.

I'm right handed and my vision center is directly under my left eye.

To train my aiming with my left eye over the cue, I do drills that involve cutting an OB right to left (hitting the OB on the right, so that it deflects left into the pocket), and also cutting an OB left to right. I also do a lot of stop shots with my left over my cue.
