I date myself the Life of Riley - William Bendix. here is my new (to me) 6 x 12 Riley it is not steel block but it is old enough to have been made in England (not the current Chinese iteration - but does it really matter if it is Phillipine Mahogany?)It has the original Hainsworth cloth and has never been recovered so I can start saving for new cloth. The lighting is right this time as it is the Riley light (I had real poor lighting over the Centennial.I am surprised it only has 3 clear 100W bulbs - should I up the wattage?
What a job getting those slates upstairs, fortunately the stairs had carpet and the dolly was clean with 4 burley guys - two pulling and two pushing and it slid up. Each slate close to 400 lbs I guess.
It has a really neat scoreboard for up to four and the mounting holes are hidden by the slide rails so they come off to mount it.
Anyway I graduated from 5 x 10 to 6 x 12 and it seems enormous but there is more room to work around the black - maybe I will have a Century before I die!
