Our own, the highly esteemed Craig 'The Single Digit' Riley is through to the winner's qualifying round to make the last 32 in Switzerland.

He'll be playing David Alcaide, whom he happened to beat in the previous event.

You can follow the event here: http://www.eurotour.nu/

Go tear them some new ones Craig:D

Colin

TheOne

I'll be heading over that way tomorrow to watch the semi's and the final.
Hopefully he will have his A game in stroke, so I can cheer him on. He is due a good finish. With so many jam up players at a Eurotour it's tough just to make into the final 32.
Got my fingers crossed mate!!!
First beer is on me....:p
I would drive over today but it's our wedding anniversary.

no-sho

Craig leads 4-1 at the moment.

Jasmin leads Benjamin Baier 6-1 and so looks certain to make the last 32.

jasmin is playing VERY good. she's beating some strong players.
Riley in the 32 that would be very nice! and you are right colling, being in the top32 is already a very nice achievement, and doing it on the winner side is even nicer.

i think many dont realise how hard the feeld is out there. looking forward for my first eurotour next year. hope ill get some chears too, but im not expecting to get even 1/10th of what craig is playing. just want to experience a very good international tournament, and while im there... ah well might as well play :D who cares i get 2 donuts.

ps Noel bruinooghe is also crusing. i dont know what this guy has been eating, he wasnt really winning any big tournaments last year, and now he's winning rankings, open's, and probably the best belgium player in the eurotour in the last 2 rankings that ive had folowoed. :D i hope he gets in the 32 tonight , and im even hoping for a top16 place. funny thing. i dont see him in our own national rankings. i havent met him yet, but he's really amazing me. ill be having closer watch on his next results. his been on fire for some time it seems.

gl to all ET players.

ps just to show you how hard the field is, here some players on the loss side.
- ralf souquet
- Reimering, Christian
- Tot, Sandor
- nick vdb
- Petroni, Fabio

not just small players... craig is at 5-5 vs david, noël is losing 4-9 (damn! ah well, then true the losers side i guess)

daryl peach vs cohen life on bwin now! :D cohen is coming back from 4 frames behind and looks like its going to become a close match. ps its 3 breaks each. so ull see alot of comebacks. im off :) looking the match.

Not to mention that Oliver Ortman went out very early...and Niels is on the loser's side.

I'm currently sweating Craig's match at 9-9. He was 7-9 down.

yes, shame :( he came back all the way to get a hill hill.
ill be rooting for him and noel on the loser side!

niels life now on bwin.. but i cant chose the video buton yet...

edit (AHA online :) lets see.)

my bet: 4-10 win for niels :D wonna join a fun bet colin?

ps you are right... very weird 32 qualified till now... not really the names i was expecting.

ps they seem to put the balls without a rack. guess the tables are tapped? (spelling?). that surely helps in the break. no wonder they are putting alot more balls on the break compared to the ipt :D

ps niels winning 2-0 with 2B&R's, curious to see what the italian is going to do when he gets a chance to break...

2-2 that italian guy can play. the odds show it too. from 7 to 1, now at 3.30 to 1.25...

niels wins his match with 10-5 ( only 1 frame off)

these matches for a place in the last32 on the loser side! imagine souquet not even making it... this eurotour is amazing.

Souquet, Ralf 5 vs 6 Reimering, Christian
Földes, Vilmos 7 vs 6 Stojanovic, Philipp

i dont dare to chose a winner from these (but ill still try it :D). it can go either way.

life now on bwin! Tschudi vs tot. tschudi is playing at home at has the home advantage, and even of the odds on bwin are equal 1.85vs.85 i still think tot is highly favorit. might be worth to make a small bet with this stakes :)

Tough loss for Craig, hopefully he will rebound well and make his way into the L32.

imran and drago placed for the 32 like i thought

Torrenti, Alessandro 0 vs 0 Feijen, Niels

Földes, Vilmos 0 vs 0 Stojanovic, Philipp
Fazanes, Antonio 0 vs 0 Martinez, Alberto (antonio won over faquet in the earlyer rounds)

and here too all my bets are correct :D

niels 10-5
dimitri 8-7
diaz 10-5
földes 10-7
fazanes 10-9

next eurotour i might transfer some small amount to make my fun bets. !! 16 on 16 bets right :) i would have been rich :p why dont we have vbookie events on the eurotour :'(

news: seems like Ralph didnt make it into the last 32 either... he's losing to his friend reimering 7-9. race to 10..

nice match: Berg van den, Nick 0 vs 0 Facquet, Vincent that should be a nice one
my bet on the next life game: tot wins 10-6, less then 17.5 games played. 75% of the time 2 balls made on the break. tot loses the lag. :p

EDIT: hehe tot winning, on schedule for less then 17 frames, and 2 balls made on the first 3 brakes of the 4 = 75% . silly solly is GOOOD :D

News: souquet is OUT, ortmann is OUT ... man these guys have won between them almost every eurotour in the last years and now they are failing to qualify in the last 32. i was a bid sad i wasnt born in the usa, so i could enjoy all the poolplayers over the pound, but hey , europe is actully not bad :p LOADS of class players

Sorry Sol,
I was a bit too slow to get in on that bet.

How about I bet Craig makes the last 32 for one of those 6-packs you already owe me :D

Colin

id love to colin :) but i think craig will make it too :) and with good scores too.

tot winning 6-4, so im still in line for my 10-6 win bet and 75% 2ball break....

funbet: 10-7 win for craig. i would say 10-4, but after the tough match vs david , i think it will be a bit harder to feel really like a god. so 10-7 win for craig and a place in the l32, ill even add that there will be 26 balls potted on the break not including the rock :D

how about: closest score wins some reps ;) and a 6pack

ps 'The Single Digit' where did that came from?

ps2 Tot made on his 3 breaks, 3balls in each brake. tschudi made on his 3 breaks, 1 ball in each brake. and still the match is tied at 7-7.... live scores are cool but i miss the video!! what happened?? with 3 balls on the break every time his runout % should be higher then now. thats like playing the 6ball ghost... a bit dissapointed in tot, but then again, i cant see the match so hard to judge... ah well ;) might be tougher then i thought, but maybe my tot wins bet still stands ! 16 on 16 bets! GOGO solly

tschudi just made his first 3b on the break too, and is winning 8-7. amazing.
balls on break till now:
tot: 2,2,2,3,3,3,2,2,3
tschudi: 1,1,1,1,2,1,3
and still tot trailing 8-7.

9-8 tot trailer.... BUT tot's time to break now. and seeing his break, he has a chance to still win it. tot is now 3.75 to 1 to win it. still i think he can win. funny at the start the odds where 7.0 vs 1.1 tot wins, now its 1.1 vs 4.5 tot loses :D eurotour magic. u never know who will win

10-8 tot loses CRAAAAP 15 on 16 right :D

next match life: reimering vs ayas at 21:23 :D
reimering CRUSHES ayas im sure!

LOVE the eurotour. colin, u ever thought about playing in one eurotour?

Thanks for the detailed coverage Solly!

I just got home from the nightclubs....sad to see Craig missed the top 32 despite having the double chance.

I'm sure if he puts in some regular hours on his new table that he'll start making more last 32's and even have a chance of making some finals.

well i think its more enjoying to me to write it all down, then for other to read it i think :D i dream of going to one of these events, having to write it down etc really helps your imagination. i can dream how it looks, i can feel the players, i can feel the tension, who's breaking. its better then reading a book or looking tv :D

im sure craig will make L32. he's one hell of a player.
ps there is a bet on in my country, before 2007 one player will get to the L32. so i think that means no one ever did it?... im sure ive withnessed ALOT of #33 places, but mm maybe no one ever did it. maybe it could become my life time dream as a poolplayer :).. *dreaming again*

u see what i mean colin ;) i enjoy it more then others who just read it.
thx for the nice time in this post colin :D if only ud live closer to drink those beers i own u, and look at the eurotour.

Cheers,

that would be a deal colin. right now i know i am no where nere to be able to afford a tour 'around 350-500€ / tour ranking (140 inscription, 3 x 50-70 for the hotel , 50 gas expenses)' , but by the time u are coming to europe i should be earning 8 times what im earning now :o , and maybe ill become a eurotour regular. Let me know when and if you are planning on coming!

about the beers, they are waiting :D next time be faster on the fun bets :) im not giving up a 6pack so easily :p next eurotour we can continue with some fun beer bets and cash them all when u have a chance to visit europe!

i have my own barr where u can taste easily over 30 different beers. ill give u the full beer tour and i already know a nice present :) its something ive seen in a shop , its a GIANT long wooden case. 7ft long and filled with the best beers we have to offer. :p
