So I was in a ring game and the guy before me scratched and I had this spot shot on the 3....

So what would you have done. I could obviously make the 3 in the top corner. But it was tough shape getting to the four ball(I had to go in the side or pretty much get straight in on it. the diagram is a little off). The way I played the shot was to cut the 3 in with top right corner with some top right. It came off 2 rails at the perfect angle. I just came up short about 2 to 3 inches. I did end up finishing the rack off with a bank cross corner and just a slight angle on the 5 to get down table. but, I wouldn't want to have to do that again. So how would you have played that shot. I didn't want to give the shot back to him obviously. But, was there another option that I am missing on the 3?
Darn so can anyone tell me why my wei isn't working?
