Ring help

Ihave*been*doing*cue*repairs*for*3*years*and*just*recently*started*building*them(1*year*ago).*I*have*been*working*on*a*design*for*a*cue*but*am*not*sure*how*to*do*a*certain*aspect.*I*would*like*to*put*ring*work*that*resembles*a*chain.*I*have*done*it*before*but*am*trying*to*make*this*one*a*little*more*special.*

I*want*to*do*the*same*ring*work*but*I*want*the*chain*to*be*made*out*of*a*silver*material*on*a*black*background.*The*only*way*I*can*think*to*make*this*and*have*it*look*flawless*isto inlay*every*piece.*It*seems*that*there*must*be*a*better*way.*Any*suggestions*are*welcome. you can go back and edit it, but its not that big of a deal.

just make stich rings like you usually would but instead of a venner use sterling silver strips form either Chris or Atlas or you can order them pre made from prather but you will pay out the A**
 
I use 1/8" slots in my ring billets. If I were to make a chain link style ring, i'd get some 1/8" aluminum sheet & cut it for the strips. Cut three rings off the billet & align then to give the chain link look. Cheap, clean, attractive & easy. If you want actual sterling silver then of course it'll be a different technique & cost quite a bit more. But this is how i'd do a silver on black chain link ring.
 
I think stich rings would prob be to thin. I like the aluminum idea I will give it a go. Now if I cam only find a supplier in my area. Thanks guys
