has anyone used black pvc for installing on sides of stitched rings? i currently use double black linen phenolic, but would use the pvc if it works as well. any one got history with this?

Why would you want to use PVC? Phenolic is much stronger, and takes a finish better. Leave the inferior materials to the production cues....

Delrin, PVC and ABS are oily and do not glue well or finish well.

I think Linen Based Fiber is the only product suitable for fine cues because it is strong, glues and finishes wonderfully and is easier to work with because it does not melt.

Good Cuemaking,
