RIP Cyclop?????

Hmmm this is news to me?? Do tell!!

TFT

p.s. Predator and Diamond are back together as well!

The Predator and Diamond Pro Events in Vegas last year were played on the new Predator cloth. I'm not sure if it is for sale yet.

Maybe there will be an option to get your new Diamond table with the Arcos II's.

I msg'd Dynasphere on this. They said only difference in the balls is the designs. All use same formula and meet same size/weight tolerances. I do like the Silver set. Traditional colors for me.

Did you happen to inquire as to their recommendations for care and cleaning?

So far I just wipe them with a damp cloth. No soap or polish. They still play nice and slick. I have only noticed one small black rubber smudge from the pocket liner. It wiped off very easily.

No. My question was simply the difference in the models. I'm sure you clean them as any others.

I was thinking of the expertise I seem to be seeing in these balls. Would love to send it to their experts.
Could you shoot me the address?

No I am not color blind

The green 6 is what caught my attention. Following the link to the gold set, I see a green 6 in the picture of the balls in a box. Then below that the set racked has the gray 6. Perhaps some of the pictures need to be updated.

Hey man, i'm going by Dynasphere's CURRENT site. Have NO CLUE what site you're talking about. Probably last generation balls.

https://dynaspheres.com/item/pool-gold-572-set/

This is their site and shows 2 different 6 balls for the gold set. I would bet on the gray 6 being current.

The gray 6 is fine with me. My 2 ball is the color of the 7 in my Cyclop set. In a rotation game I need to pay attention. Missing it in practice is an oops in competition it’s an “oh shit”!

You have to click on the box to see actual balls. The ones in the box are just illustrations. The 6/14 are that bird-turd grey color.

I just got an email saying that Predator Arcos balls are the new ball ball of the CSI Leagues. Dang. I thought Cyclops had their act together. Oh well.

That's because Diamond lost their ball supplier, Cyclop. The co. that actually produces them, XinBiing, is now making the Dynaspheres for Loontjens in Europe. Same ball formula just new designs.

Justin Bergman posted on facebook, today, or yesterday, saying this.

"I remember playing Shannon Daulton in final 4 of Derby One Pocket 2-3 years ago and we went to lag and his lag crossed over to my side. No joke the ball rolled off like a foot and a half lol. Table was level it was these balls. They gave us a set of Aramith to use. Thank God people are starting to realize this. Only in pool do we play on shit equipment in the biggest tournaments."

He then showed this post from "Scott Frost", and "Chris Renfro", showing some Cyclop balls that were split down the middle, and saying that Diamond is going back to using Aramith balls again.

How can spherically shaped balls roll off? Were they not made not made to have a 1 1/8" radii? Where the balls not center weighted? I'm failing to understand the ramblings of Frost, who clearly had a relationship and bias for Aramith. "If you need or want a set of Aramiths you can PM me and I will get you a discount as I’m about to make a big order with the company CEO who is a sponsor."
Big suprise Frost didn't like the Cyclops balls. What a sell out shill

If you're so smart, why are you calling them cyclops? You don't even know the name

Who's the shill

Supposedly the balls are being made with far closer oversight from belgium than the cyclops were. I am a bit skeptical because I am closer to mexico than belgium is to china and I can't see mexico. My eyes aren't what they were but I can't even see Texas! I will say that I bought three or four sets of the dynasphere balls and even the sixty dollar set played quite well. I would find no reason to buy more than the bronze which I have tried. Lost my table to hurricane ida and have sold the balls I believe. They claim all of their balls are the same quality and that seemed to be true.

They did have an issue with a US distributer claiming the balls were made in belgium but that wasn't really an issue with the factory. I wouldn't have purchased the first sets from china not that I know belgium is better.
