RIP Palmer Byrd

I heard this sad news from a friend yesterday. Palmer was yet another important person in pool I was never fortunate enough to meet. A strong woman, player, and pioneer for women in pool.

Sad to hear. I met her during the 2001 WPBA Nationals on the day of her induction into the WPBA Hall of Fame. She was one of the founders of the WPBA in 1976 and her place in pool history is assured.

Sad news.
Palmer was also inducted into the New England Hall of Fame years ago.
