Just learned that Rodney "The Rocket" Morris will be taking on all comers in challenge matches at Bull Shooters in Phoenix from 3:00PM until 5:30PM this Saturday, Nov. 10th.

He must need some warm-up practice in preparation for Bonus Ball.

I'll give him some!

Hey Roger,

Next weekend would be much better, there is a DCT stop there. It's bar table 9ball, but I'm sure Rodney would get steady play all day and night if he wanted. The place would be crawling with most of Arizona's best players.
Anyhoo, just food for thought.

It's not our call. It was just laid on us, suddenly.

Rodney lived in Phoenix for over a year, and I saw him come and go at Bull Shooters practically every day, and none of our "top players," with the exception of Mitch Ellerman, ever asked him to play and then it was real cheap (just for lessons, I guess). That was smart of Mitch.

Rodney not only has a lot of talent, he's got a lot of charisma, too. We have several other things going on this Sat., so there should be a lot of people here and everyone should have a great time.

I remember when he was there. I had no idea that he was open to playing with the riff-raff, or giving lessons... I would have been all over that. I thought he was just there for his practice time.

Alas, my current personal situation (with my wife's health) no longer allows me such luxuries. :frown:

But I will keep an eye out for other, future, opportunities.

Thanks.

I've got good news for you then; there will be many more "other, future, opportunities." Stay tuned.
