I love it, thats what happens after you cancel a contract with someone and leave them hanging, He should say that more often. I like Earl and he did them a lot of good, they should have stuck by in some way during the tough times, Period. I'm sure there is a strong case for why they made their decision, I'm faced with decisions like that often in business. I'm on Earl's side on this one, hell they could have dropped him but still done something so he wouldnt be inclined to make statments like that.

Maybe somebody will know the answer to my question.
WHY IN THE HELL WASNT EARL INVITED!!!!!!!!

KT wants as much traffic as possible, Earl is a good pick because he has been around along time and he gets the numbers right, same for Archer, Efren, Busta, Rodney etc. Earl is in the twlight of playing top speed pool, but still can play and is widley known,

Jason,
I have seen Earl in person, not on an Accu-stats, treat everybody around him with much respect and kindness.

Terry,

I admit I do not know Earl on any personal level. He may very well be everything you are saying about him. We are all human and have bad sides of our personalities, his just seem to get caught on tape a lot more than others.

I was at the infamous "straw that broke the camels back" event when Earl quit his match. Again, I wasn't impressed.

Maybe someday, I will get to see the side of Earl you are talking about.

I can say after meeting Earl he is a great guy who loves the game,he lives and breathes it,I will psot a video up soon of him in a lighter mood, its really something to behold. He cant help how he is,I know mental disorders as I have been around people who are like that, people who are and were very close to me.I was talking to Earl about his stroke and I said something along the lines of it being 1 in 6 billion and was amazed at his stroke,he thought I was being sarcastic and got all pissy, this happens with people who are bi polar.

My ex was bi polar and she would be ok one minute and alitte wacky the next and it didnt take much to set it off,she would think you were talking badly or take yoru words the wrong way and its pretty scary when people get like that because they can go off.

I feel bad for Earl and hope he gets the help that he needs, when people are quiet and dont bother him he can play some great pool.If someone taunts him or something is going on Earl mind takes it to another level whether what is going on is meant to shark him or is not,its what he is percieving.

Well I hope he is getting the help he needs. Earls is one of the best without a doubt, but he has to get his head fixed or he'll never win another big time tourney. I would love to see Earl get fixed and come back, as pool needs another feel good story and a guy that is shooting 9ball like he can.

Great service.....just got this email:

"Problem solved. Sorry the video didn't work for you earlier. It is working fine now. We had updated the video with a better-quality encode and apparently it didn't get replaced with the same file name exactly as it was before. Whenever there are changes it can take hours for the new file to reach all the streaming servers and go live. Thanks for your patience."

Ok, just to clarify, i didn't post this as a "omg lets bash earl" type thing, i just thought it was a hillarious moment in pro pool. if it was between any two top pros i would've posted it. it just happened to include earl, which is known for his antics.

and for all you earl lovers, i might be wrong, but isn't he one of the main reasons camel cancelled their sponsorship of the PBT citing they didn't want their product being endorsed by him or something like that? the only professional mens tour that we had and because earl was the posterboy for pool at the time they didn't want someone who was mental being the star athlete of the sport they are sponsoring.

honestly, i loved earl in that video. i love how he tells it like he is. that part about how he played with cuetec for 17 years and it literally destroyed his game, LOL that was priceless. my girlfriend ran over to see why i was on the floor giggling. the actual games aren't too exciting, i love the production values, its the best production i've ever seen in a pool match (sad to say) the guys who did the editing obviously didn't do too good of a job, but what can you do.

i've seen archer play before, in tourneys and for cash, esp on the latter he is a SLOW player. very methotical. i can't argue with the man's results, he is a champion. but he is up there in the players that will take their sweet ol' time thinking about shots. before earl erupts you can see him fidgeting in his chair, looking like he's going to explode, then sure enough he goes off. i think archer handled it right, not saying anything would've made it seem like he was a b*tch or something. maybe the IPT wanted something like that for the matches, something to cause controversy.

but players getting pissed off cuz their opponents are playing slow is nothing new. its been happening since im sure the 1900's when they still played balkine and straight rail. i'm not exactly an earl enthusiast, i recognize his amazing talent, and his almost idiot savant-ish genius pool game, but lets be realistic people he really did hurt the image of pro pool a lot. despite all that, i don't blame earl himself, all of his cylinders aren't firing like they're supposed to up there, all he knows how to do is play pool. and boy can he do that one thing. but i think a lot of people tend to excuse his bad behaviors and mannerisms just because of how good of a player he was/is.

remember, ralf greenleaf died broke in a gutter didn't he?

I was sitting very close ring-side in Athens, GA. for the UPA one year and Archer and Strickland were playing. Earl did the same thing, muttering under his breath and making comments, Johnny turned around and just plain told him to "STFU". Earl didnt say another word.

Id of loved to have been there:)

Good to see it bothers pros too, not just us mere mortals

what's interesting to me is we call Earl nuts but when Johnny misses the ball he says Earl is sharking

Earl just caused the player of the decade to miss a very simple shot

has Earl's drama been a sharking act all along? has he been sharking the world's best for years with staged drama?

He is!:D If you don't believe me, you can ask my daughter---

Why hello, there.I have absolutely no idea what is being discussed here, or why anybody would think that my father is not as nice as he truly is, but I will vouch for him anyway. He is a wonderful guy and terrific billiards player. Have fun with your threads.

PS: I wrote all of this of my own accord, I was not forced to say any of it.

Neil- isn't it great to have kids that know how to suck up!:o :o :D

He's an a$$! Just ask my son when he asked Earl for an autograph when he was 9 years old. His quote at the time was, "Oh, great! Another F#$k'g wannabee pool player!

These days, the remedy for bad behavior is "pop a pill" or "up the dosage".

Forty years ago, if someone acted like that instead of "popping a pill", they got "popped" up side the head. Sometimes, more than once.

In the end, it was a MIRACLE! They saw the light and were "cured".

I guess I'm too ol' school!

during the pre match earl interview earl says "well i just went from the ob-1, which isnt the shaft for me anymore to a regular playing shaft, i played for a cue-tech for 17 years which literally destroyed my game" lol

then after the end of the 6 minute video archer is taking his time trying to find a shot and you can see earl mumbling to himself, then all the sudden he screams out "JUST SHOOT MAN" and archer says "when its your shot you can say something, when its my shot SHUT UP" then he promtly misses an easy ball then says "the only way you can win is if you shark somebody"

i swear, this kind of stuff is priceless.
