Very good advice offerred by other forum readers. Today....more than ever before....buyers of all merchandise need to be watchful and remain vigilant on scams....please don't infer that what I was saying this involved...I am definitnitely not implying that....Today it's simply more than in the past..."CAVEAT EMPTOR".
Sellers of merchandise may in fact feel the same way when they're buying something, but even if you do not, rest assured the "vast" majority of us as buyers probably better than 85%) are always going to exercise caution.
The item offerred was a Breitlinger watch...everyone knows how many fake imitation watches there are nowadays....Omega, Cartier, Rolex, Breitlinger, just to name a few....you can get one on the iNternet starting at $99 and the very best only cost $250. So naturallly, when the item offerred for trade is widely known to have imitations bountifully available everywhere, the antennae go up to be a little more cautious.
Then when inportant information like the watch having the Acura emblem of the reverse side, that's pretty meaningful stuff and an important detail especially when married to the story about a salesman winning it....well, when hat comes out after the watch has been sold...now interested buyers that didn't have their antannae up do...and it's focused on you as a future seller...and the ones that already had their antennae up....well, let's just say that you've nor progressed to being on their radar screen for future sales offerrings and you've been identified as a suspicious bogey.
What's you've received is very good advice intended to be helpful and I suggest you give it your full, due consideration......Matt
