I have a 1996-7 Rolex submariner w/date for trade for some old sideways w josswest cues. Watch is also for sale outside this forum. So lets see what we have for trade. Sorry for the fingerprints. Price cash for watch is $3300.00. $3500.00 in trade cues + cash will work on a few josswest 70's era. Like in my avatar. The speck of blue paint came off my arm When I was washing it is not on the watch.

If I were one on the forums interested in this, I would want to see a receipt on the watch. Many many fakes out there with perpetual movement and fake box and papers etc...
Not to say this one is, but buyer be smart...

there are many fakes out there

i know i was sold a fake once upon a time its not that hard to tell if there real but not so easy in a pic

Rolex Submariner

This one wasn't a fake. Watch was bought from an acura salesman in Dallas,Tx. Given to him for salesman of the yearin 96-97. watch has a acura emblem on the back.

Then why not show that mark or give the original poster the correct phone number? I'm sorry but this is highly suspect. If you sell again on here I would hope you have positive feedback already. Because I don't think this did it.

Seller

Seller said he gave me his old number.. Corrected it and then posted item as sold. Never heard that watch had Acura emblem I
Suggest that going in the description as I
Wouldn't be interested

Rolex would put a new back on it when they refurbished it or serviced it. Ron

yes at request from rolex usa new york or texas,,for several hundred dollars aint worth it.service at this time for cleaning, redo band/case, is running 500usd+ pending there arent any parts needed cause watch has issues

any bezel, crystal, dials, back are very high from them, not worth it

For what's It Worth....Here's My 2 cents....

Very good advice offerred by other forum readers. Today....more than ever before....buyers of all merchandise need to be watchful and remain vigilant on scams....please don't infer that what I was saying this involved...I am definitnitely not implying that....Today it's simply more than in the past..."CAVEAT EMPTOR".

Sellers of merchandise may in fact feel the same way when they're buying something, but even if you do not, rest assured the "vast" majority of us as buyers probably better than 85%) are always going to exercise caution.

The item offerred was a Breitlinger watch...everyone knows how many fake imitation watches there are nowadays....Omega, Cartier, Rolex, Breitlinger, just to name a few....you can get one on the iNternet starting at $99 and the very best only cost $250. So naturallly, when the item offerred for trade is widely known to have imitations bountifully available everywhere, the antennae go up to be a little more cautious.

Then when inportant information like the watch having the Acura emblem of the reverse side, that's pretty meaningful stuff and an important detail especially when married to the story about a salesman winning it....well, when hat comes out after the watch has been sold...now interested buyers that didn't have their antannae up do...and it's focused on you as a future seller...and the ones that already had their antennae up....well, let's just say that you've nor progressed to being on their radar screen for future sales offerrings and you've been identified as a suspicious bogey.

What's you've received is very good advice intended to be helpful and I suggest you give it your full, due consideration......Matt

Breitlinger??? But it has ROLEX on the Dial and the little crown and all. They wouldn't copy a 14 year old watch would they? Lookie at all the Rolex stuff, Box, Papers, even the little fuzzy cloth! Yep Real for sure! Someone got a nice one for $3300 and I bet they drive an ACURA! Ron

Yes a submariner has been a submariner well until this year. All look the same, this years Rolex sub has a ceramic bezel and user adjustable bracelet(no tools needed to adjust).Still look the same sorta

Copies are very very prevalent and due to Rolex always going up in value it's an investment. Example the watch above I bought new for 3775 out the door in 2002 with 15% off and 5% tax. Today it's has a price tag of 8000. Since you can't really say this years model is same due to reasons I said they changed looked at last model it was worth 7600 ,Rolex goes up 3-18% per year depending on economy and market. We say recession but since it's just that metals are worth alot,, watch market has taken off through the roof! Price are high they are eliminating dealers and strictly enforcing discounts from their dealers

All the stuff with this watch looks real to me. I only say disclose marks on back next time, be more accurate with numbers etc no biggie glad he sold it

FYI just to say all of it could be Rolex the most common way is to give u all Rolex stuff, but a jeweler took the Inners out, replaced them with junk movement an still demand top $$$ you need to get these inspected on secondary market
