When playing the nineball ghost do you guys take advantage of combos on the nine or always go for the run? I have been struggling to break even and my percentage would climb if I played these shots when they are there. Just curious what others do.

I usually go for the combo if it's not too hard and the CB and OB are closer together so I can control the OB like the CB.

I play the higher percentage shot, just like I would in a tournament. If the combo is the right shot, I take it.

I would play the 9-ball combo/carom if it's the logical shot you'd take in a tourney. It'd be silly to try to bank the lowest ball just because the 9 is in the way. I would however, strongly consider spotting the 9 in such a case. If the purpose is to determine your ability to run 9 balls, taking the 1-9 combo X breaks in a row doesn't give you a fair indication of your run ability.

I actually practiced tonight going for 9ball combos I had 2 come up in ten tries and made one of them. I won 6 to 4 and I was playing a little better then normal.:)
