Ronnie Alcano

I wasn't questioning Ronnies ability (IMHO he's one of the best in the world) JAM said 9 to 2 and I thought he shut him out. If Earthquake and Ronnie were to gamble (9 ball) I would like Ronnie

You know, after you posted the score as being 9-zip, I went back through my notes and you are correct. I had this finals match confused with another tournament. The whole finals went by in a flash. Ultimate Billiards is one of the nicest pool rooms in New England (IMO).

As far as action goes, it does get quite old when every single time Earthquake goes to match up, many desire a little weight, always mentioning Keith's California days.

It would be refreshing to play somebody EVEN for a change, with no ensuing debate about what the other side deems as a "fair" game.

I have seen Ronnie play on many occasions, and he is, without a doubt, of champion caliber. For the CHEESE, though, I know where I'll bet my dough in 9-ball, one-pocket, or banks between Alcano and McCready! :D

AND the two of them are good friends, BTW. Keith and Ronnie hit it off big time when they first met. So this is not a challenge, just an opinion from a professional railbird! ;)

I know you weren't and I apologize if I came across the wrong way.
I was just saying that the number of times he reached the finals is very impressive whether he won it all or not.

Kind regards,
Dave

I have never seen anyone hit the cue ball as soft as Ronnie and make it go as far as he can (MAN WHAT A STROKE)

I am definitely in complete agreement with you on that.
Really makes it look effortless.

I believe Alcano was way better player now then he ever was when he was in JOSS tour. Winning that Manila leg in Sam Miguel tour was big him especially the caliber of players over there. The WPC was definitely a disappointment but he was worse the last tme, he did not even make it through the knockout stage. I think Alcano has a chance to be a world champion. The JOSS tour was really a good experience for him.
I am also wondering for guys like Van Corteza and young Filipino ones like Aguilar, De Luna to try to get some exposure elsewhere. You know it's really hard to play in that San Miguel, they have to go through qualifying tournament just to play a leg. There are Filipino players like Adam Abdulrahim who represented Malaysia and Ibrahim Bin Amir who played for Indonesia that regularly get exposure and also then even made it through the knockout stage in the WPC. I think there's a little room for them there, they really need a lot of exposure.
