Ronnie Tipped for World Snooker Failure

Ronnie O has just lost 4 frames in the morning session to go 12-8 behind to Graham Dott from Scotland. Ronnie has had tip problems all tounament and last night he provoked controversy when he left the arena midway through a session to replace a tip. TV footage seemed to show him picking at the tip but no action was taken. He emerged 15 minutes later with a new tip on his cue, amazingly his 21st new tip of the tournament so far!!! :eek:
 
Dott has won 6 in a row now...14-8. Needs 3 more to enter the final.

I'm guessing Ronnie has let yesterday's controversy get to him and has lost the plot.

16-8!!

Dare I say it, but it seems ROnnie had given up.

This is Ronnie's 7th World Semi Final but he has won only 2 titles. I say it every year but if Ronnie had Steve Davis's head he would have won everyone of them without a doubt!

If it's a Dott v Ebdon final, it might just be the end of snooker, I suspect it we may need an extra couple of days to find a winner! :mad: :rolleyes:

In a word, yes.

They lack a bit of flare and excitement, the snooker purest would not mind as they are both playing very well, but I would expect the TV audience figures will be the lowest in a number of years for Ebdon v Dott.

Marco used to live in Vancouver when I used to watch him practise in a pool hall close to my university. The Marco I used to watch was a totally aggressive player who shot very fast and went for everything.

According to my friends in the UK, Marco is now a much slower player and plays a lot of safety. I am so very curious.

To me, it is like hearing Ga Young Kim playing real slow, I just cannot comprehend it in my mind.

May be it will be a Graeme vs Marco battle? It should be a bit more entertaining than a Graeme vs Peter battle.

Marco knocks in a ton. For 6 frame wins in a row.

Marco's on fire! Could be first Chinese (in fact Asian I think) into a world championship final.

Youre not wrong, the only other Asian to make the semis was The Thaiphoon himself James Wattana.

I missed it but it seems Marcu may have blown it, he was 50+ points up and missed a black off the spot after finishing short due to an unlucky kick :(

53-31 to Marco but ebdon in the balls with 1 red left
