That’s great you got to play him. I’ve never had the pleasure to meet him. I’m certain he could be a monster at 1P as well, but his job is snooker and it appears impossible to play both at a high standard
Yep, I've only met a handful of players that can handle multiple cuesports disciplines well.
Funny enough UK, Australia based - as there are more variations here than the USA.

Yes, that's a critical factor. What one's peers think must be reckoned as part of the case for legendary status.

It's somewhat similar to the case for Mike Sigel as the best player of the nine-ball generation. Both Efren Reyes and Earl Strickland named Mike Sigel as the best player they had ever played against. That speaks volumes for me.
Well earl does say that efren is the "best player" in this video, it's a great speech!

Also Archer always says Buddy hall was the best player he ever played at nine-ball.

as far as Snooker, most pros had agreed on Ronnie as of several years ago, talking like 2008 after his third title,
this has not been a debate for many years

Raymond Ceulemans' may have dominated his discipline the most and beat all the current champs at an advanced age

Earl and Efren achieved ridiculous things in a disipline not set up for sustained individual success,

Mark Selby is the closest thing to a proven all rounder
Ceulemans is definitely noteworthy for his longevity and dominance over his peers but if you compare tournament averages, his averages were well below what today's players are putting down.

I feel like Judas.

Well I guess impossible but only due to the difference in the money.
Bar table scuffling is another realm still. Yes Snooker pays the bills and put put golf is a diversion. It sometimes pays to diversify. I just watched the '96 Mosconi with Ronnie and Steve Davis vs Earl and King James. Ronnie struck the 6 with the 5 on the table...... clueless.... It's been a long time since.Water under the bridge. Ronnie vs Efren would be epic. What game? What stakes?

In Snooker Ronnie is probably going to be looked at as "best of all time".
Overall cueist, I think Reyes and others are better, when it comes to knowledge, ability in more than one game and creativity.
