Room dimensions

I have a 9 foot table. Looking at houses. What's the minimum room size I need to get a playable fit? Not a practice table with some pain points, but a competitive space where I won't be at a 99 ball run then tilt because I have to jack up 40% shooting off a rail.

I've seen tons of conflicting information. I always assumed 15 x 20 or so. Thoughts?

at a MIN I would add 6 feet all around, so 9+6+6 by 4.5+6+6 or 21 x 16.5

You ask for a single answer to a question with two variables. :bash:

Do the Math

Playing surface is 100" by 50".
Cue, usually, is 58", yours may be different.

Distance for two cue lengths and playing surface
Length: 100 + 58 + 58
Width: 50 + 58 + 58


Now add on double the back swing length that is the minimum YOU need to make your natural stroke.

Tables about space requirements vary becasue they have no fixed length of back swing.
Your requirement may be greater.

Also absent from many of Tableside requirement threads, is the space for your back foot. If you are tall like me, your back foot will be further rearward than the end of your cue.
