Room Owners Attention: US National Snooker Tour Proposal

Hi everyone,

The United States Snooker Association is currently putting together the first United States National Snooker Tour.

For the first season we anticipating having at least six stops (possibly more) at six billiard rooms, three in California, one in Chicago, one in Houston, and one in New York City.

It will of course be on a small scale at first, but it is important to offer as many opportunities for snooker players around the United States to have some competition to encourage them to play.

If you are a room owner and have at least two regulation sized 6ft x 12ft snooker tables and would be interested in hosting a stop, then please do contcat me for further details.

We have gained sponsorship from a snooker cloth and snooker ball manufacturer, and as part of the deal you would be supplied with brand new cloth and balls.

With my thanks and best wishes.

Alan.

Alan,

This is exciting news. Do you have the Chicago location and date picked yet? I would assume Grayslake by Tom.

Please let us know!

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Alan,
I do not speak for any room owner, but I have a few suggestions. Caspers in San Leone did have 2 tables but recently took one out. Caspers is near the bay so I don't know if Ike wiped it out or not. Legends doesn't have a snooker table but they host allot of big pool tournaments. There is a snooker club on the southwest side but I don't know the owners. All of the equipment in the area would have to be worked with to reach competitive standards. I wouldn't mind playing in it if it is an open event. Please keep us updated on dates and other arrangements.

Best,
Marcus

Hi Mike,

Yes it will be at On Cue Billiards in Grayslake.

The dates should be finalized in a couple of weeks' time. All the information will be on the SnookerUSA.com website, but I will also insure it is posted on this forum too.

Best wishes.

Alan.

Thanks very much Marcus!

Someone else in the association is working on the Houston stop and where it is due to be played. As soon as I have all the details you will certainly know, and it would be great to have you take part.

Best wishes.

If I can make it I will be there, also maybe the Chicago one. If I have good warning on the dates I should be in good shape.

I'll play in the Houston event too. Chup chap has three tables (the south west Houston business) but they would need to serious help to get their place upto snuff. I'd volunteer my table for the event (home court advantage) but on a single table the event would last for weeks.
