i actually think i counted 10 veneers...

inside out... black , natural , black, yellow, black, purple, purple, black, yellow, black..

somebody else look at the second pic and see if you see what i do..

From the pictures it does appear that there are two purple veneers sandwiched together.
But Troy should know for sure.
But either way 9 or 10 veneers is still a lot.

I believe 10 is the correct number Chris. I'm sure there is a black next to the Rosewood point.
 
Could be

Looks like he just used black epoxy instead of clear between the veneers to me. But I am looking at a picture not the cue.

It has 10 veneers. I am the original owner. The black veneers are what is called paper veneers... which are made from compressed paper. They are so compressed, in fact, they are as hard as wood.

This is a striking cue of Brazilian rosewood, and one of the very best hitting cues you'll ever find, due in part to the snug pilots and Haley's insistence on very close tolerances throughout the whole cue.

Ive seen this one in person and its beautiful. The silver ringwork really sets it off as well as the veneers and wood combo etc. Great price for so much work and rarely see these for sale. Deacon
