rotten lepro tips

I actually found out they made 13.5mm tips while at the factory. I think they must sell them to cuemakers but most don't realize they're made to ask.

I have to believe that anyone can call Tweeten's and buy them. Can't hurt to ask.

LOL!!! I can't. The problems never end.

Tweetens won't sell to end users and they also said that they wouldn't take on any more dealers. There is a man here in Cincinnati who bought out the old National Billiard company. He is still building and working on National pool tables. At any rate, he went to order more supplies from Tweeten including chalk, tips and some other things and they refused to sell to him. He explained that he had bought the business in tact and that National had had an account with them for many many years. Tweeten told him it made no difference that since the business was sold the account was no longer any good and that they weren't taking on any new accounts. He ended up arguing with someone higher up in command at Tweeten and they finally let him start making purchases as usual but they set a pretty high minimum which he said was no problem as his order was for a couple of thousand dollars anyway. We were talking about this about 6 months ago and he said it's no wonder so many American companies are going under as they seem to not to want to do business with customers

Cuestix in Colorado offers LePro and Elkmaster tips in 13.5mm size. gotta be legitimate business and buy box of 50.

www.cuestix.com or (800) 645.9803

I used to buy 13.5 mm LePros from somewhere back in the 80's but I don't remember where. Around 1995 or so I tried ordering some from Atlas and the salesman told me that tips must be fitted to the ferrule as each ferrule is a different size and that I couldn't buy them to fit my cue but to buy larger and cut to fit. I told him I was aware of how to put on tips and that LePros came in 13.5mm and he told me I was mistaken as they only come in standard sizes such as 12, 13, 14mm and such. I just said oh well.

I've been getting some of mine from cuestix also, and they do indeed list 13.5mm, first time I've noticed, but I just checked ,and they do list them. 13.5mm is the only size out of the lepros that they list in a 1/2 size, but they go all the way down to 10mm in the even sizes. Greg
