Tweetens won't sell to end users and they also said that they wouldn't take on any more dealers. There is a man here in Cincinnati who bought out the old National Billiard company. He is still building and working on National pool tables. At any rate, he went to order more supplies from Tweeten including chalk, tips and some other things and they refused to sell to him. He explained that he had bought the business in tact and that National had had an account with them for many many years. Tweeten told him it made no difference that since the business was sold the account was no longer any good and that they weren't taking on any new accounts. He ended up arguing with someone higher up in command at Tweeten and they finally let him start making purchases as usual but they set a pretty high minimum which he said was no problem as his order was for a couple of thousand dollars anyway. We were talking about this about 6 months ago and he said it's no wonder so many American companies are going under as they seem to not to want to do business with customers
