Manalo, Reyes, and Alcano all lost their first matches of the day. Manalo lost 8-7 to Hsia, Reyes lost 8-3 to Davenport (!!), and Alcano lost 8-5 to Acosta.

Like last tournament, I'm still predicting a Pagulayan vs. Orcullo final...but this time I'm picking Orcullo to win it all (sorry Pheobe ).

It seems like the World has figured out the Filipinos...at least in this round.

Manalo just lost to West 8-6, and Marlon is now 2-0...still needing to face Boyes, Gallego, and Heuwagen. He's in deep trouble of not advancing to Round 3.

Parica also lost both of his two matches, Pagulayan just lost 8-1 against Majid...not to mention Kiamco, Reyes, Alcano, and Luat all lost their first match of the day.

The only Filipino left undefeated is Orcullo.

Seems like the Filipinos don't have that same aura about them they had yesterday.

Keep your eye on Nick Varner...he's playing good, he won a match and lost another hill-hill with Archer. If Nick starts playing like he used to, I predict him to make it to the final 6 (or is it 8?).
