Rubber bumper

I had a cue made for me a few years ago. I noticed after a few months that the rubber bumper had cracked and small pieces were coming off. I didn't think it was a big deal, and didn't say anything about it. When it was time for new tips on the cue, I took it back to the guy who made it. He noticed the problem with the bumper and replaced it. Same thing happened again. I'm now on my fourth bumper. I'd like to replace it with one that will last the life of the cue, or at least a decade.

It's a recessed type, 1" diameter. Is there a particular brand to look for, or a website I should buy from where I'll get something that doesn't immediately come apart?

First thing, take a picture of the bumper out of the cue, then take at least one of the hole it goes in. There are Many types, and not all suppliers carry the same ones.
Mentioning the cuemaker's name, may help also as most are known for only using one style.
HTH,
Dave

Thanks for the suggestions. I already know the size and type. It's the same as the one listed on this page as R6. I'm just looking for a manufacturer or dealer that has a quality piece that won't dry out and crack, and will last a while.
