rubberized wraps

i am thinking about putting on a rubberized high tack grip on my break cue. i've seen some production cues that have this now. i have some rubber sleeves that i've used on carom cues, but this makes the cue thicker and sometimes difficult to get in and out of the case as it sticks out. any cue makers here install rubber grips into a normal wrap channel?

Just use leather. I do alot of leather on breakers and its great. you can really get into em good

huh, i had never considered leather. a lot of the leather wraps i've had were kind of slick. guess you just need the right kind of leather. i'm still leaning towards some kind of rubber type grip though, i think it will still be a lot tackier than leather

i saw a mezz break cue that had a silicone grip and also some lucasi's and poison cues that had a sport inspired rubber tread on them. i really like the rubber on my carom cue, you can really use a loose grip to give you a more powerful stroke, while still holding onto the cue.

if anyone out there does this, let me know, i'm interested in having it put on

i've never seen it done that way,but it is a ood idea.

i put one of Muellers on a buddy of mine's cue.it was just over a wood handle.

putting that wrap on was harder than building a cue.i ripped two of them up before i got one on correctly.

Someone sent me a sample or two of a heat shrink rubberized wrap a few years back but I never did try one. I probably still have them somewhere in the shop. This stuff, as I recall, was more like a cuetec wrap than the "condom" wraps 3C players like. I'll post back if I find it, but I couldn't tell you where to buy some.

just more hot air!
