Rug Settling Time

How long does it take for a 9 ft pool table to settle into a stable position after installation of a new rug? Our community center recently installed a new rug in the billiards room by jacking the tables up, sliding rug sections under the legs, and lowering the tables. The tables are all way off level now, essentially unplayable, and we're stuck waiting for the tables to fully settle in before professional table leveling can be employed. But how long must we wait? Management wants to wait, but players want to play, even if the tables were adjusted to near-normal level by adjusting only with shims under the legs without taking the table apart to make final adjustment of the slate to the frame. It's been about a month since the rug was installed.

A month is plenty long enough.

Everybody has their opinion, but a day or 2, to a few days is pretty typical.

Jacking and lowering....one side at a time by amateurs right? ...Nice way to damage the tables.. The management wants to save money by shortcuts.(lifting instead of dissembling). The rug installers have no idea or do not care about the tables.
The rugs are most likely thin commercial style...the tables do not have much to settle into. Been there done that in our clubhouse.
Management will wait forever to hold up spending. They do not play. They do not understand Pool Tables. Get on their case. The tables should have been professionally removed and reinstalled after the rug job.

Exactly!! They might not even be able to be made playable now without more work than if they had it done the right way to begin with.
