Rule and Sponsorship Changes on the Viking--ooops "oZone Billiards Tour"

So far the former Viking Tour tour has made some good changes since Ozone Billiards became the new title sponsor.

This past weekend Mike Janis announced that after a 1 year rules change moratorium they have now changed the racking rule to rack your own with the 9-ball not counting in the back 2 pockets. The former rule was winner breaks with loser racking but if both players agreed they could rack there own. I think it was a good change IMO.

One of the other changes is the restructuring of the Amateur Division qualifications for who can and who can not play in amateur events. Janis said it still needs a little tweaking but for the most part it is done and it allows many more players at the amateur level to compete in the events. You can read the Amateur Qualifications at the Ozone Billiards Tour website at http://www.ozonebilliardstour.com

The last change announced at this weekends events were the inclusion of 2 new sponsors for the tour. They were Shawn Putnam Custom Cues and Steve Lomax Custom Cues and both were there with cues on display which really added to the event as it was like a little cue show.

Also, Shawn "Big Bubba" Putnam won his 55th event on the tour this weekend. Congrats to him on a well played event. BigTruck was there streaming the matches live and they have brackets and videos from this past weekends events at http://www.mxmbilliards.com

Thank you Mike....oopps...I mean geno. Johnnyt

If I was Mike I probably would have got the title sponsors name of the tour right in the thread title, which I now corrected...
(Last edited by geno; Today at 12:32 AM. Reason: Corrected Title Sponsors Name from Olhausen to oZone )

For the record the tours name is the Ozone Billiards Tour now and one of the divisions of this tour is the Ozone/Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour or sumtin like that.
