Rule Change!!!!!!!

That is called heresay and would be disallowed in a court of law.
Getting all in a tither over a minor rule change rumor is pathetic. Patience is a virtue. Personally I do not think they would make that change until next year.

I would not call it hearsay when you are mike sigel and you are joined at the hip with your best buddy kevin trudeau. After all. was'nt mike the one who convinced KT to fund the IPT in the beginning..................mike

If MS had won the last tourny, would he still want the rules to be changed?:D

Its ridiculous. Why should a player be penalised for making a ball?

If they wanted to make it tougher, how about the CB behind the kitchen on a scratch on the break instead of BIH ANYWHERE. That is a huge advantage. Not to say that the breaker shouldn't be penalized, but you are practically guaranteeing that the incoming player is out, because they can break out the trouble balls right away AND take the most favorable balls. Just a thought because this rule is radically different than the one most of us are used to playing in 8ball.

Also, regarding groups of 10, Mike S. should consider that it will now be easier for others near his ranking to pass him up. If you have 15 groups of 10 and 6 move on, then it would go to 15 groups with 6 and probably 3 move on, then that leaves 45 people only going to the 3rd round. It will be harder for him to move into the 3rd round, since there will only be 45 people left, rather than the 60 now. At 45 players, then it will probably be 9 groups of 5 with 3 advancing to leave 27 players into the 4th round, rather than the 36 in the 4th round now, etc.

So it will be easier for the first groups to advance out of the first round, but tougher to get into the later rounds. Maybe the ratio will be commensurate with the smaller initial field (150 compared to 200), but I am not going to do the math, lol.

When you have a RR format and everyone plays by the rules, the best players always go thru.
10/15 years ago maybe MS WAS the best but after such a long time away from top competition, he has to catch up and its going to be hard for him to really compete.

First of all it came from Bernie not Mike so that makes it double hearsay.
Second the first speculation was it "would be changed", then all of a sudden it was he thought it would be. Does that give you a clue?
Third, so you think Mike and K.T. or in collusion? What a joke and a gamble to even think of that. Mike may have convinced him but if you have any common sense at all you could not believe they making moves to "help" Mike. You cannot convince me of that.

I wouldn't

take anything Sugel says right now as gospel. I think he is just a front man, and not really involved in the mainstream of things anymore, which might be an irritation to him.
