Playing 9 ball ball in hand
If I place cue ball by pocket
cue ball falls in what is rule interptation.
cue ball was there for a split second does this matter?



fyi APA rules cue ball comes back up no foul
If you are also playing object ball hangs in pocket next shooter approaches table to shoot object ball or cue ball falls in.
balls are put back to where it was.

this came up in a discussion between two pros about how to play this shot if it came up in 9 ball match
3 ball was behind 8 ball 3 ball stuck in jaws and you were given ball-in-hand

solution was extreme skim 3 leaving behind 8 3 foul rule in your favor.you have advantage.
this led to question about cue ball fouls!

maybe a stupid question can you change your mind on placement of cue ball after fell in?
