You are shooting solids and have three balls left. All three are in the kitchen. Your opponent shoots and the cue ball ends up in the pocket. You have ball in hand in the kitchen. I believe you are allowed to take one of your solids and put it on the foot spot. Does this have to be the ball closest to the head string, or do you choose which ball it is?
I can't find this in the BCA hand book.

Uhh.. BCA rules are ball-in-hand anywhere on a foul.
 
Joel...Banks is correct. In 14.1, if all the balls are in the kitchen, the one closest to the head string has the option to be spotted. CB is still in hand in the kitchen. The other option is to shoot across the headstring, and spin the CB back into the kitchen to kick at one of the balls.
