Rules question

i thin you lose your turn
unless it stayed down for more than 5 seconds before it popped back up

You lose your turn. The ball coming out of the pocket and back onto the table occurs all the time. The ball is NOT considered pocketed because it’s now sitting in the bed of the cloth.

If a ball is sitting in the pocket and the CUE ball falls in the pocket hits the ob then pops out of the pocket back onto the table it is a foul. The cb hit a ball off the table bed

I never heard about this rule. It's a good day when you learn something. Thanks.

The specific part of the rule, in the definitions section, says:

An object ball that rebounds from a pocket back onto the playing surface is not a pocketed ball. If the cue ball contacts an already pocketed ball, the cue ball will be considered pocketed whether it rebounds from the pocket or not. The referee will remove pocketed object balls from full or nearly full pockets, but it is the shooter’s responsibility to see that this duty is performed.
