Run This (32)

5,2,3 push the 8 for a breaker,7,1,4,6,,,is what i would try to do.

yup...seems the highest percentage pattern to me too.

also, if it didn't work, you can break with just about every ball below the side pocket.

it looks to me like i'd try to play a behind the rack break shot because the 1's up table.

5,7,1,2 and then the 3 trying to bump the 8 out. if the 8 doesn't come out enough then 8,4,6

How do you create multiple pages with the wei table?

I just bumped up a thread called "cuetable 101" in the straight pool section. It shows the essentials. I hope you choose to begin using it. Alot gets overlooked until you actually draw the lines. It reveals traps that you don't forsee when planning the run.

Here's my first crack at it following your directions. :)

I didn't care for trying to bump the 8 out, especially after shooting the 5 first (since it is the best insurance ball). If I were dead set on bumping the 8, I'd probably go 7, 1, 2, then bump the 8 off the 3 and have position on the 5. Anyway, the 4 is "ok" and there's a couple routes to get to it, so this is what I came up with.

CueTable Help

In this lay out the first couple of shots are super important. I really like the 7 as a key ball, but I don't see a (easy)way to get out without using the 7 early.

I'm going to make the 5 and try and get on the under side of the 3 so I can move the 8 into a break ball position.
If I fall short, I'm going to make the 2 and then go for the 3 with a soft shot to create the break ball... and I have the 7 for after I bump balls.

CueTable Help

after the first one I saw something else that might work... not sure about the shot on the 1 though.

I'm not sure if one could actually make this shot and get this position with this kind of english, maybe some of the more experienced peoples here can give me a better idea if the shot on the 1 would work or not.

if it doesn't work I'd make the 1 and play position for the 2, then 6 up for the 4 and play that around to the other side of the 3/8... and continue from there with the current shot on the 3.

Not only is it a nice run, but you're the first person here to get the cuetable to show 9 pages. You have a gift, sir.

It just takes me an extra page to think, I guess. I wonder if that means it takes me 2 hours to watch 60 Minutes ... or it would take me a half hour to make Minute Rice?

3 to 7 won't work as diagramed on page 6.

I'm thinking it'd come off the 8, with the tangent line in the general direction of the 7... it'd move up table.

With dead center english, how would you expect this cueball to play out?
