Anyone find this funny? I had contacted the seller today about a buy it now price. Sent him an offer after he asked me to make one..

Now I looked at the page and see there is a zero feedback user who ran it up to $600, Tied the high bidder then quit bidding..

I get a reply back saying he has decided to let the auction run..

Oh well... Nice cue though.. But I'm done with it as I can see it going to get up there now..

Just made me wonder if the seller ran it up as he was considering my offer but then saw where it got to and declined it?

Who knows.. :-)

Then read his questions and answers..

One writes in saying it's an R 11 and he should know as he has one..

What a goof.. :p

and notice how he keeps avoiding a straight answer on if the cue is straight..

R13

The pilot on that shaft shaft doesn't look right to me. Any opinions?

Nice cue, worth the current bid even if the shaft is after-market.

The guy is a pawn shop. I looked at his other cue for sale and it appears to be a predator, but the shaft sure does not. And that leather case I am betting is a porper pleather as well.

Going to get up there? It should get up there! The bid price right now is well below what the cue is worth.

I would guess after market shaft. The older Schon shafts have the black phenolic collar with the brass insert directly inserted to that. The newer ones have the brass insert making up the collar as well. it's a nice butt though.

This R13 is a really good buy at $600, even with the suspect shaft. If anyone decides to puchase it and wants an original shaft to go with it, let me know....I have a pretty decent one with yellow GE micarta ferrule that should match perfectly. You needn't worry about whether the butt is warped.....those old Schons are notorious for staying straight. Suspect shaft might be another story though....
