Hope this find everyone in good health and ready to enjoy new successes in the new year!

Here's another post about the concepts of defense from the "Safety Toolbox" book.

A bad angle is any shot that is not within the shooter’s skills to pocket. It does not have to be impossible, but must be a low percentage shot for your opponent. (Low percentage means that the shot cannot be pocketed more than 30-40% of the time – 3 or 4 out of 10 tries.)

This tool alone or combined with the distance safety is one of the easiest to set up. ...

The linked article has a note that states...
Note: There is certain wear and tear on the psychological well-being on any player who constantly gets only one shot per turn.

If you're constantly trying to set angles to leave opponents safe on every shot...
IMHO you will also become a player that constantly gets only one shot per turn.

There's a big difference between proactive (making your opponent BE the victim) and reactive (not realizing that you are being made the victim).
