For any of you that have played league pool in Northern VA I have sad news to report. Billy Carr passed away suddenly today.
Billy was one of the first members of TAP. He played on many teams in different leagues through the last 30-40 years.
He was a good man and loved the game of pool. He sent an email that I was copied on a couple of weeks ago that said, in part, " it is time to enjoy the fun and goofing around that takes place on Tuesday nites. I have a good time with a number of folks. I really love playing pool and seeing everybody. The Tuesday nite league is my family. My kids are grown and have left the roost, so pool is my social life."
He's been a pool mentor to many. I will miss Billy's smile on Tuesday nights.
