More info- The cue I have has two points that are 10" long and two that are 10 1/4". The outside veneer is purple, then turquoise, and then brown. There are no dings or scratches on this cue. Either the stars were glued in with a black colored glue or there is black veneers around each star. It seems to be the latter. In the post you showed me, the cues have brass joints. My cue has a silver joint with a brass pin. The female insert is also brass. This cue is perfect except for the normal fading and bleeding on the veneers. Also, the butt sleeve is 5 1/2" not 4". The forearm is nice, tight, curly maple. It could be a Titlist blank but the points are very close. I believe the wood is padauk. How can you tell the difference between Burton Spain and Titlist blanks? I thought Spain's points were very close. Also the star inlays look similar to lacewood- they are not maple. Are Sailors' early cues not stamped? This obviously is a Sailor.dmgwalsh said:How about the one in this thread?

I do not know Sailor or have spoke to him, just know alot about him. I've done alot of research.rukiddingme said:Have you contacted Sailor as to the origin of this blank?
The info in your listing seems to suggesst that you know him pretty well. Just wondering what he has told you about this cue.

I've had his phone # but haven't called. I bought it from a reputable antique dealer in Kansas over a month ago. He didn't know what kind of cue it was, but I did. He was told it might be a Balabushka until I proved it to him otherwise. I compared it to another Sailor that is stamped and it has the same exact pin and the same flared butt cap and screw. Yeah, I did write an extensive lsting but I was trying to draw interest from people that might not know Sailor's cues. I was going to call Brad Simpson in Galesburg, Illinois to see if he knew some buyers, but then I said screw it and put it on E-Bay to give everyone a chance at it. I believe it's worth more than I have it listed for.dmgwalsh said:Yeah, I saw it there this morning. Got it on my watch list.
You got everything but the kitchen sink in your description. You ought to call him and see if he can tell you where the blank is from. ( 262 488-5668) He doesn't have any internet access and even if I sent him a picture, he wouldn't see it until your auction was over.
Who did you get it from? How long have you had it?
