Same shot different place

There are a few shots that I always seem to struggle with even though the angle and distance of the shot it is exactly the same as shots I have no issue with only on a different part of the table.

Exact same shot only a different place, anyone else experience this?

Without seeing examples of the shots....my guess would be left handed vs. right handed angles....and or the different locations is causing you to use a different stance/set up....that may be changing your stroke and or vision/perception of the shot.

If any of the above is true....I am not even sure I would consider them the "same" shot.

I have this issue sometimes. For example a 45 degree cut into the corner pocket is very rarely a problem. Unless it is a back cut, and then for some reason my mind gets in the way and I can't make it. For me it's a mental thing. Phil Capelle touches on this issue in his book "Play your best pool." When I saw the pictures it helped me see that the shot isn't as hard as I make it out to be.

Pockets open and close as you move around the OB you have to aim or targe the correct line for where the OB is sitting. As the pocket gets smaller any error is magnified as pocket entry speed increases.

I find the same shot (1/2 ball aim) show up on a high percentage of my shots. It's the same shot over and over again. I like that....SPF=randyg
