I just put up a video interview done with Samm Diep on go4pool.net.

Hope you like it.

Thanks,
Jim

Great Interview! I love Samm. I was fortunate enough to meet her and hang out with her a bit while we were at velley forge and i have to say she is one of the sweetest people i have ever met!! She is a very real, down to earth and a genuinly nice person! Talking with her and watching her play while we werethere, i think is my actual driving force to become a better player. To see what she has done in such a small ammount of time, is really amazing! I watched her very carefully while she was playing and picked up a few tricks (thanks Samm! lol) watching her and getting to know her a little those few days was awesome! I have even been watching instruction videos that her and Mike have done and they have been a huge help! She is someone to look up to in this industry and tho i havent met many female pool players i really hope there are more like her out there ....or that there will be!

BTW there is a bunch of great interviews at the bottom of the page you might wanna check out. i spent almost 2 hours watching some last night!

Man, that was a long one.

Jim - Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me! I was SO NERVOUS but am very honored for the exposure.

Everyone else - Thank you all so much for the all the support and kind words.

A couple corrections:
I worked with AZ & Accu-stats at the recent Derby, not US Open.
What's in the Case? interviews were with InsidePool, not AzBilliards

Where's a teleprompter when you need one? :o

Heather,
You're a sweetheart! I loved hanging out with you last week.
Miss you already :)

What a great interview, Samm! I really enjoyed hearing facets of your life from outside the pool industry. You truly are a credit to all of us, that you developed a passion for this game. Remember to come visit us here in San Diego, Melissa Herndon is putting together a new tour!

Jim, another great interview, thanks. You have a way of putting people at ease and drawing them out. Great work, and good choice interviewing Samm.

Samm, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm glad you were able to take the time. What's it like being on the other side of the mike?

Thanks

I'm very happy that many people like the style of the interviews. Also, Samm fooled me. I really didn't think that she was nervous, probably because I have seen her doing interviews herself. She seemed very calm and together. I guess if I do an interview, I'll see.

Thanks,
Jim

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I'm still not fully recovered yet from Valley Forge. haha

To answer your questions from here & earlier:
It was quite nerve-racking to be answering the questions instead of asking them. I felt a bit vulnerable. I don't know why I was so nervous. Jim was a perfect gentleman and you can also tell that from his other interviews. He really puts his guests at ease. He also does a nice, clean job with the editing too.

I enjoyed the casual dynamic and the original questions he asked. They were not your typical, 'how long have you been playing?' or 'what have you won?' sort of interviews. I think that's what makes his videos so interesting.

We'll be doing some similar style interviews in Vegas this summer with AzBilliards but I look forward to more from go4pool.net
