Samsara Cue

I had a Samsara D1. Good quality with nice stiff hit. Resale value was terrible when I sold it.

It depends how you define custom. Seems some people have very different opinions.

jacscik...That is their "bar cue" series. Just FYI, there are no cues that will "hold their value" unless the cuemaker is dead...and maybe not even then. It's been a soft cue market for years, and a used cue will only bring what someone is willing to pay for it. Samsaras do play great, and their high end cues are amazing detail work.

It wasn't a bar cue. It was a limited d1. Played great. Unfortunately didn't hold it's value. I liked it.

As far as I know, the D1 is not part of their Bar Cue series.

I'm gonna get flamed for this but I think of them as production. Here's why I think this way. Predator is a known production cue company. Samsara is making their buts (thousands annually) and letting Predator slap their logo on. Just like Schon is a production cue (both use to be custom).

There's a direct correlation to the low resale value. Check the wanted/for sale section and do a search. You will find that they don't generate a lot of interest and consequently, sold cheap.

Samsara makes both production and true "custom" cues. They make the plain Jane "bar cue" series. Also limited series cues (iirc 1000 or less). And they will make you a true "commissioned" custom. They also make their own 1 of a kind. They are arguably among the most unique cue makers today. "Custom" is an overused word in pool. Their cues retain their value as well as any other today.

Also, theoretically any cue (new or used) will only sell for as much as someone is willing to pay for it. And I do believe that some cue makers value goes up with time. Although you may have a 7 year wait for those cues. I believe that we have investors that buy and immediately resell them on here for a higher price. I think maybe SW, BB, and Gina may be among these.

Respect, Courage, and Commitment!
