Anyone try one of these tips yet??? Suppose to be as hard as Phenolic but legal and with control for drawing and etc....Quite expensive from $11.00 to $18.00 on different sites...
They claim it jumps and breaks as good if not better then Phenolic.....It's layered leather....
 
I have tried them and they are not as good for jumping close to balls as the phenolic. They are not as hard as phenolic, but do have control on the cue ball much better! Hoped this helped.

my buddy has a samsara break cue and it hits every bit as good as my predator, if not better.
 
I have put on a couple for team members, and have been VERY impressed by them.

What you loose in how close you can jump (Maybe a ball's distance) you more than make up for in control.

I can easily jump 2 1/2 ball distance over a full ball with them.

Unless you practice your jump a LOT, any time you're jumping things closer than that, you're just hoping to get a good hit (Most of the time).

I feel I've gained a lot in both my jump control and break control, and have not lost a thing off the break as far as power.

I actually just put one of these on and I love it. It feels as hard as phenolic but controls as well as leather. I tried jumping a couple balls with it as a test and didn't have any issues getting over from as close as 2 balls away.
