Heya Donald. There are several places to play but the best action will be at Banana's billiards on San Pedro Ave. It close to downtown as well. Also you might try Clicks on Evers and 410. My name is Tom... ill play but i dont gamble. Im usually at the Clicks i mentioned above.

I played at Galaxy Billiards way way back. I have no idea where it is in San Antonio though.

I lived in SA for 10 years (wish I was still there!), a few places to play are Bradley's Billiards, small 6-7 9' tables, but a real pool hall(used to be my favorite place), Galaxy Billiards, 20-25 tables, nice place but seems to be more of a youger crowd, Fox and Hound, a college hangout, very loud and hard to find a game, but they have around 30 tables.

The closest nice place may be Fast Eddie's, it's pretty cool and a military hangout, good players too. That may be your best bet for some action. Copper Dollar is a pretty cool place too.

Just a few places that I played at and gambled. Be careful in SA, there's some good players there.

Hey Tom, I'm not a big gambler either. I just thought I would throw that in there to see whats up. Would love to play ya some and have a cold one. My wife will be there with me also. She plays pretty well. PM me a phone # and I will give ya a shout when I get back from Blud's party. I should be pretty easy to beat at that point. I am a pretty light drinker, except when I get together with Blud. He seems to bring the wild man out in me.

I was in San Antonio on business and went into Fast Eddie's. There wasn't a player to be found so I asked a guy where I could find players and he sent me to a place called Banana's. Not a very nice place. But I did get some action with a hispanic guy about 40 years old. Just played some $20 sets. he was a real A**hole. Then his buddies showed up and started the shark maneuvers. Talking about me as I shot, I figured that these guys must never get any real action if they are doing these things over $20 sets. I lost 2 sets and got out of there. Would have loved to have had a few friends along. It was the first time that I seriously thought that I wouldn't get out of a pool hall safely. Don't go there!

That place is ok durning friday and sat. nights. Those so called "hispanic" guys, we call them "messcans", not [mexicans], are real tough when they got one guy alone. The true Mexicans and there people are great folks. It just takes a few to ruin the whole barrel. messcans like to be bad a**es, when it uneven sides........

Next time, give me a call, I'll ride over and help you out. I'll bring some bubba's, with me, then see how tough they are.
