With respect, if HAMB solved the problems for everyone, there wouldn't be so many players who've held the same handicaps in leagues for decades on end.I love this video. He makes it real clear that it comes down to 'your equipment, your stroke'. No one size-fits all deal. Regardless of whatever 'WonderCue' you play with you still have to figure out the squirt/swerve aspects of it. Looks like 'HAMB' is still alive and well.
Well, HAMB doesn't fix bad mechanics unless you really tried . Doesn't sove bad patterns and not knowing how to shoot different shots .With respect, if HAMB solved the problems for everyone, there wouldn't be so many players who've held the same handicaps in leagues for decades on end.
Dr. Dave has super tools online know for calculations with a new cue. There are also good teaching shortcuts for these types of things.
Yes, I agree that HAMB for a player with good mechanics makes them even better. Pros HAMB as amateurs.Well, HAMB doesn't fix bad mechanics unless you really tried . Doesn't sove bad patterns and not knowing how to shoot different shots .
HAMB fixes visualization if you let it .
That's why peeps should spend a lot more time in perfecting preshot routine and mechanics over gimmick aiming systems .Yes, I agree that HAMB for a player with good mechanics makes them even better. Pros HAMB as amateurs.
But HAMB will not teach good mechanics, and will actually lock in bad habits for many players.

I may have been responsible for that. A tip on roller bearings.I'm recalling a weird cue idea I saw diagrammed here years ago: the tip and ferrule were on a sliding mount so they could move sideways without moving the shaft sideways. The amount of "end mass" being pushed sideways could be small enough to not matter. ...
Pic of their ferrule: https://billiards.colostate.edu/faq/squirt/robot-test-results/ IIRC these were used on the PowerPiston Black Dot shafts.I may have been responsible for that. A tip on roller bearings.
Meucci did something similar when they made a ferrule that did not touch the tenon so it was free to shimmy sideways during the hit. That would reduce the amount of end mass involved. I never saw one of those cut open and I don't know whether it really worked or if it is still sold.
