Savers on the WPBA circuit???

Sarah,
There is an interesting poll/thread on the Main Forum about "savers". I think most of us would appreciate your opinion on the matter. Are you aware of any WPBA regulations on the subject? Good luck in Peoria.

P.S. - I will be at the Billiards Bullpen August 22nd- 24th for a weekend pool lesson extravaganza. Please drop by if you are in the mood for a little straight pool.

To be honest, I'm not sure if the WPBA has rules and regulations on savers. I guess to answer your questions it depends on what you consider a saver. Some of the girls travel together/live together so is sharing the money that you win in that situation a saver? As far as letting another player win because it will help moneywise...there really isn't a benefit seeing that we don' t have calcutta's or auctions. I have heard rumors from people outside of the tournament that suggest some players let others go on because of rankings. I am not sure if that happens or not. I know that I could never do that because I hate losing way too much!

At this point in time I haven't made it to the Tournament of Champions. That is the only tournament that is winner take all. I would think if money savers were taking place, it would be in that tournament.
