For those who enjoy the amazing shots of Semih Sayginer, you might like to see some highlights from a 3-cushion competition that's going on right now. If you're up early enough, you might be able to catch live matches:

If you're not up early enough, check out the "Video Magazine" menu pick where they have a bunch of highlight shots by Semih and others from the play so far. Sayginer has the high run so far of 18.

Thanks

Yes, thank you. I clicked on "amazing shot" by Semih expecting to see some masse/stroke shot and was very surprised, but also truly amazed. Holy Cow!

The video is very high quality, too. Very nice stuff.

Semih is an 'unbelievable' player!! Outstanding! He is the reason why maybe one day I'll take up Billards.

The "Amazing shot" by Semih had three difficulties. The first was to see that it was a natural angle if you can hit the first ball after two cushions. The second was to hit it. The third, for Semih, was to suppress the urge to shoot a full masse shot when the balls were in a pretty good place for one.

It's only a natural angle if you hit the correct side of the ball, thinner than half ball. Most people can't choose which 1/4 of the ball to hit when kicking back and forth 2 rails (hitting the ball hard, no less, and shooting from against the rail for good measure).

Astonishing.
