There was a girl half in the bag and not the least bit shy center-pit woofin for side bets and making plenty of them- occasionally forgetting her bets.

Every now and then she'd squat down and go in her purse and reveal at least 6 or 7 inches of black thong (height).
She was having a good time and kept me smilin.

Thank you Nostroke. I appreciate you letting me know the joke. Sounds like she would have kept me smiling too.

If it's the drunk girl that I'm thinking about, I heard that she'd gotten into a fist fight with Pamela Treadway. Could be all hearsay but that's what I heard.

I didn't get to Valley Forge until Friday night. So I don't know how Thursday night went except from hearsay. :p

The stakehorse lady, who was very tipsy on Friday evening, the day I arrived, was betting it very high, taking all bets a C-note a pop. I heard, though, that Thursday night was when the action was hot and heavy, with Sparky Ferrell dominating the mighty wins. He got into a back-and-forth with Canadian Luc Salvas and empties his pockets to the tune of several large.

It was said that the tipsy stakehorse lady backed Corey Deuel for a hefty sum and took all side bets, and Corey lost. Somehow or another, her presence did complement the spirit of the action table, and she was a friendly sort. She said she used to own a pool room named "Rack'em," somewhere about 20 minutes away, but sold it recently. She also tipped the players if they won a game, which is kind of nice, IHO. She was eye candy for the gents, but I also found her quite entertaining. :D

Most of the high-stakes games happened at a nearby pool room, with Rodney Morris taking down Chris Bartrum even on a bar table.

Sparky gets my vote for the SBE Action Award.

I heard the same rumor about the tipsy stakehorse lady getting into a back-and-forth with another player, but I didn't hear that it was Pamela Treadway.

If it did happen and it's not an SBE urban legend, it would have occurred very late Friday night. The tipsy stakehorse lady was in the action pit until, I'd say, 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, betting it high as the Georgia pine. She gave Keith a $100 tip when he won a game for her. She's okay in my book!;)

She was OK in my book too-I never really planned on ID'ing her so i originally used the word drunk which i should not have. Tipsy is the perfect word. She was having fun so more power to her.

She seemed too young to have owned a pool room but the older i get the worse i get at telling ages. Anyway I in no way meant to knock this fun lady.

I would say the action award goes to either Ryan or Dom. They both weren't in huge money games but they were at the feature table for extremely long periods of time. They were both in action most of the trip.( I know because i spent about 85% of my trip at that table betting on them)

Jam, do you have a picture of Sparky, i was watching the money table friday night, and there was a man in a red shirt playing, that looked a little like George Breedlove. I was wondering if that was Sparky.

Thanks,
Rodney

Rodney, that was Sparky who was sporting a red shirt in the pit on Friday evening. Actually, the shirt was more of deep red or a Redskins-type red.

I didn't take any pictures this SBE for personal reasons, but I sure did bring home some memories I will cherish for a long time. :p

Here is a picture of Keith and Sparky taken last month at the Joss event at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. When we arrived in Valley Forge on Friday evening, Sparky gave Keith a hundred-dollar bill as some players are wont to do with their friends when they pocket a nice chunk of change, and it was very much appreciated by Team McCready.

That drunk girl...

Is a local, who was on the wagon for like a year or so, who about a month ago, fell off big time.
She then somehow got it in her head that she was gonna meet and seduce Corey Deuel, and run away with him. (she has a lot of problems)
THAT is why when she first got there, how she bet all her money on Corey vs. Eddie, and went bust.
She was then seen cursing Corey out telling him he sucked, and then crying on another locals shoulder when she realized that she had no money.
She then started working the room (if you know what i mean) and managed to pump back up to action status so she could continue gambling, and repeated this cycle over the course of the weekend.

I know a couple of fights almost broke out because of her.
Then next thing you know, she got tossed for getting into a fight with another girl, and spent the rest of the weekend at Markley, gambling her money away.

So i could care less what she did to get her money, that's her business, but i don't think anyone else at the expo can top how many times she went broke, and managed to pump back up, only to go broke again.
That girl is hardcore.

It's pretty funny if you ask me.

ps. Oh yeah, she never owned the pool room, she got KICKED OUT OF IT! lol

AH, Ok, I remember talking to you about it and we both thought it he looked like George Breedlove.

Cool, now I know what the guy goes by at least.

I gotta go with that guy nicknamed Spike.
I think I heard someone call him Jessie.

Man, that guy was in there for a while betting it up and playing real well.

I have to vote for Jason Kirkwood. That guy is a grinder. He was down in the pit from Wednesday night all the way through the weekend. He would play for $5, $10, $20, or $50 a game, whatever action he could get. I have a lot of respect for guys that can grind it out for hours on end like that. I got bored with winning $30 per hour on the $10 tables after three hours. This guy does it for a whole tournament.

Too bad. I think Sparky was the front-runner.
