9 Ball Girl said:If it's the drunk girl that I'm thinking about, I heard that she'd gotten into a fist fight with Pamela Treadway. Could be all hearsay but that's what I heard.
JAM said:I heard the same rumor about the tipsy stakehorse lady getting into a back-and-forth with another player, but I didn't hear that it was Pamela Treadway.
If it did happen and it's not an SBE urban legend, it would have occurred very late Friday night. The tipsy stakehorse lady was in the action pit until, I'd say, 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, betting it high as the Georgia pine. She gave Keith a $100 tip when he won a game for her. She's okay in my book!![]()

The stakehorse lady, who was very tipsy on Friday evening, the day I arrived, was betting it very high, taking all bets a C-note a pop. I heard, though, that Thursday night was when the action was hot and heavy, with Sparky Ferrell dominating the mighty wins. He got into a back-and-forth with Canadian Luc Salvas and empties his pockets to the tune of several large.
It was said that the tipsy stakehorse lady backed Corey Deuel for a hefty sum and took all side bets, and Corey lost. Somehow or another, her presence did complement the spirit of the action table, and she was a friendly sort. She said she used to own a pool room named "Rack'em," somewhere about 20 minutes away, but sold it recently. She also tipped the players if they won a game, which is kind of nice, IHO. She was eye candy for the gents, but I also found her quite entertaining.![]()
Most of the high-stakes games happened at a nearby pool room, with Rodney Morris taking down Chris Bartrum even on a bar table.
Sparky gets my vote for the SBE Action Award.

Rodney said:Jam, do you have a picture of Sparky, i was watching the money table friday night, and there was a man in a red shirt playing, that looked a little like George Breedlove. I was wondering if that was Sparky.
Thanks,
Rodney
AH, Ok, I remember talking to you about it and we both thought it he looked like George Breedlove.Rodney said:That's the guy. Thanks Jam.
