SBE amateur eligibility

I find the SBE amateur eligibility so frustrating. One semi deep run with a soft draw in the derby, turning stone etc and you are excluded for life. Meanwhile there are players who don't play those events and get overlooked in the "known ability" and get the play the amateur event. I am looking through the brackets for the event now and see MANY players that I would need a good spot from and are 30+ fargo points higher yet because I had a decent draw in one tourney (DCC banks) I am screwed if I want to play in this tourney for life.
I spoke with Allen a couple years ago about it and when I brought up many people playing in the tourney are much higher fargo he snapped and said fargo don't mean shit. While I agree to a certain extent, I think it is a much more fair way than 1 random tourney finish.

No huge deal and good for those players who get to play. Just so frustrating and wanted to rant

Absolutely .. Allen treats turning stone like it’s still a major tour stop. If it helps a friend who finished 17th at turning stone talked to Allen about it showing who was in turning stone that year and Allen let him play in the amateur event. It’s always been ridiculous. Btw the use Fargo now.. If your Fargo is over a certain number (it’s low 700 I forget) they won’t let you BUT Allen won’t share your results in the tournament with Fargo.

I love Allen but in typical Allen fashion he waited a week before the expo that year to announce the rule change for Fargo rated players playing and pissed a bunch of people off who had paid an entry fee and were going lol I’m cool with him using the Fargo rating but come on man.. you got to do that earlier or announce that year the next year you’ll be doing that. Lol
