try doing a search here (not trying to be condescending or berate you on the search function) I just don't remember what the thread was called. But I'm pretty sure there was a long thread on this a couple of weeks or a month ago.

Yeah, I saw that also but it turned into a pissing match if I remember correctly and nothing definitive came out of it.
Hoping Allen Jr can come on to set it straight.
I asked Allen jr this in another thread and havent heard from him. There is an article in the new billiards digest that confirms this with a stipulation made by allen sr that oaks has to address the issues of lighting, carpet, and bathrooms. Apparently it all stemmed from the tax man.
Keep reading about the tax man thing. Any idea what really transpired? First time in ten years I wasn't there.

Officially? I thought it wasn't official until just this week. Higher-ups were talking about it at the Expo, but I believe they just sent out official notifications {edit: I assume what's happened is that certain vendors have been called, but the SBE site hasn't made any announcements on Press Releases}.
I could be seriously mistaken. Which is like all the time.

No. No, it wasn't "officially" announced yet. That was the whole debate in the other thread. While there are a bunch of rumors (and they do sound plausible), I think we should wait for the Hopkins to make the announcement before anyone books vacation or flights, etc.
